The Polar Express

I am getting really jumpy with these postings! Once I post something I come across photos for something that happened before it! So this is a little out of order!

We're back at the beginning of Christmas Break! The Wednesday before Christmas, Leah and I went to a Christmas Party at our friend Kimmy's church. There were tons of games and lots of food!!! One game was to make a sculpture out of the mini candy canes using your spit as glue.
Leah and I took home the prize with this beautiful creation:

It's The Polar Express Going Through A Tunnel In An Ice Storm.

Secret Santa knew just what I wanted: A BEACH KIT! Complete with shovels and molds! I'm ready for Englewood! Leah got a bag of quick-start COAL!!!

Kimmy! Me [I'm not sure what I'm doing with my hands]. And Stephen Crews [who I just realized is winking!].

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! AGAIN!

Bill is Pregnant

Not really...but one Sunday we were running late to church and there were no spaces left. So we went around back and pulled into the only open one we could find. When we were leaving church and walking out we noticed a sign in front of the car that we had not noticed before.

I just HAD to take a picture!

Project Shelbsway

Before I jump into this post, let me just say I cannot believe how long it has been since my last "real" post. Almost 2 months!!! AHHH! Simply unacceptable!

I guess to begin this post we need to rewind and pause in December. I finished up exams, with my last one being at 7:30 a.m. on Friday morning, and FINALLY got to head home! Courtney had left Thursday at about lunch time so I had a quiet evening in The Box. Friday I got home extremely early, in fact Mom and Shelbs were still in school. So I drove to Leah's and talked with her sister [Leah wasn't there..but that's for my next post!]. Then I picked up Shelbs a little bit early from school and we had a sister day of fun!

Saturday was Shelby's much anticipated birthday party which we had been planning for the past couple of weeks. It was Project Runway turned Project Shelbsway at our house. Guests arrived and were split into 4 different teams, given a paper Publix bag, and assigned different workspaces.

The girls had one hour to create an outfit for a party using only the materials provided in the bag. They were to pick one girl to model the outfit in a finale runway show. It was so much fun to see what they came up with! Creativity is an amazing process to watch!

Here are some of the girls with their models!

Once time was up for the outfit, 15 minutes was allotted for styling: hair, makeup, you name it. The girls had to be Runway Ready! Then it was time for our FASHION SHOW! [I gave the girls a quick walking how-to and posing 101 right before!]

The winner was the cute blonde with the pink skirt and silver top! But I think all of the outfits deserved an award!

In the words of Tim Gunn: MAKE IT WORK!
