Prayer

Good morning all. I know I'm not caught up on this blog by any means but I wanted to interrupt the usual order of things and ask everyone to join with me in prayer. Yesterday morning Leah called me to let me know that a friend of ours from church died on Friday night. She was hit by a drunk driver while crossing the street at about 8:30 on Friday. It was a hit and run, the person did not even stop. Her name is Lauren Detrio and she actually went on the first mission trip to Mexico with our church (2006) and was a part of our youth group after that.
Please pray for her, her family, and her fiance. Also, pray for her friends. I know so many are hurting now-- she was so beautiful inside and out and she has truly touched a lot of lives.
Lauren and Mike [her fiance] are shown below.

Join with me in praying:
Heavenly Father, I don't always understand Your ways. In my selfishness and out of my flesh I would undo what has happened. But in the midst of all of this, I know that Your plan is far better than mine. I lift up Lauren, her family, and her fiance. Father I lift up all of her friends who are hurting and trying to understand. May they find peace in You. I love You Lord. Amen.

Sarah,
I join you and all of Lauren's family and friends in prayer. Your comment on your facebook is correct: Life is too short. Live and love each day to its fullest. I love you!

I've only met Lauren once, (I knew a friend of hers) but I've heard about her and she seemed like a very beautiful and special young woman. I will undoubtedly be praying for her friends and family.

We're praying Sarah and rest in the fact that God's plans are not our plans, His ways are not our ways, but He has a deeper and more eternal purpose He is working out- May the promise of hope found in Christ alone provide a peace that passes all understanding for you, Lauren's family, friends and her fiance.

Thank-you Sarah,
We too, are praying for Lauren's soul in heaven, and all her loved ones here left on earth. I know that we are not to question God's plan, and I know He has one. We lived next door to Lauren and Michael, and had rented them the home. I am still in a fog, and keep thinking how I could have protected her better. She was so adorable, and I am just praying Michael, her family, and all those who love her so can move forward after this. This is the most horrid tragedy, but I do plan to attend the trial of the the "killer", and so glad she was caught.

All our live to all left behind
