A week ago today, I talked to Devin [I'm pretty sure most of you know who he is] and he shared some interesting news. Especially interesting because it was the first time I'd heard from him in a while. Well, he officially enlisted in the US Army and will be leaving the day after Christmas to head to 6 months of training. Then, after a two week trip home, he will be heading out again and I believe it is for a year and a half long service in Iraq. THEN, he will come home for another two weeks, and head out for another 4 months of service. He won't be in the front lines or anything because he is going into training as a nurse. When he gets done, supposedly he will be able to get his doctors degree for free.
Anyways, this was pretty stirring news to hear. So I ask that we would all lift him up in our prayers and that God would keep him safe in this crazy situation we are in in our world.
I apologize for not having a more serious picture of him...this is from Mexico! But, it's ok! He's a goofy guy anyways!

We'll pray for Devin as he begins this new journey in his life and trust that God will use it for His glory and to grow and teach him many things.
